continued profit margin

Seems to me that during their early days and prior the current market saturation, Microsoft's profit margin would have been at its peak. Average users aren't going to buy a new copy of windows every time one comes out. I think most people are going to get one only if they buy a new pc. Its the geek/nerd types most likely who want to check out the newest software. I think it makes perfect sense for a tech company to chase away tech types. LOL Also the people that Microsoft would chase for a buck are those who'd have the least trouble using an alternative. I think Microsoft should provide a geek subscription service at a reasonable fee. All the latest for a good price. Those people in turn would encourage the less technically oriented to use Microsoft products. Microsofts actions as of late, don't seem to encourage the family type of atmosphere that would keep the masses coming back year after year for more.
