The tighter they squeeze
the more will slip away into obscurity. Microsoft will never be able to stop this. Period, can't happen. There will always be someone a little smarter, a little faster, a little more motivated and the chase will continue.

And who really suffers? In the end the legit users will have to bear the brunt of it. Microsoft doesn't want it's revenue streams to go away so to maintain them with inflation they will start to raise the price, increase the restrictions, increase the validation steps needed till one day... people will say "Screw computers!" then there will not be an exodus to Macintosh or Linux... nope. People will stop using them at home because they are getting tired of the onslaught from both sides.

Virus's and trojan horses and spyware on one side and on the other, Microsoft treating them like thieves when they own legitimate copies of their software. Eventually the people will just get tired and realize that computers are nice, but sanity and time are more important and valuable.
