Katrina's "Off Site" Potential Identity Theft Victims
You don't have to be in New Orleans or the Gulf Coast to suffer from identity theft, as a result of Katrina's devastation. You only have to do business with a company that houses your name, address and personal data in the area. Kinds of companies include mortgage lenders, realtors, life insurance, banks and credit bureaus. There could be either a paper or electronic trail of your private information strewn over the disaster area.

There is a way to guard against ID thieves and you can find out by reading my blog, The Dunning Letter at: http://thedunningletter.blogspot.com/2005/09/katrina-and-potential-identity-theft.html

Good luck!
