Yes and No...
First, he was *not* being *tried* for the bomb threats or breaking into those other sites or anything else other than the charges he was brought up on. So he cannot be punished for crimes he may have admitted to or they know he did in *this* trial. Therefore, the ruling was for the crimes he was charged with and that is the only crimes he can be punished for. With that said, this may be a reasonable ruling.

Second, you cannot charge anyone in this country for crimes they admit to. You cannot use that testimony to charge or try them; you must have other evidence (you cannot testify against yourself as part the 5th amendment of the US constitution). The article implies that he admitted to these crimes; not that the authorities any had evidence or information about them sufficient to bring up any charges.

Third, he also seems to have cooperated with authorities (he did admit to the crimes) and that could have played a part in the sentence.

Last, but not least. There is nothing in this sentence or ruling that says other charges are not pending. So he may end up being charged with other crimes, including the bomb threats.
