I agree..
Especially in smaller businesses, it's economical to use JUST passwords. But, at the same time, the smaller businesses don't really need an extreme amount of security precautions. Where I work (probably close to 10k users), SOX has already caused enough issues that aren't going to be paid back anyway. You're required to change the passes frequently to your own PC, along with thousands of servers. When I log in each night to analyze servers, it's aggrivating to have to memorize each new password... especially when you're required to NOT write any down for security reasons.
Already, everyone uses HID cards to get into the building. I know other companies that are concerned about security would be more than willing to switch to an ID based encryption system.
