Let me guess- the uninstaller page will display an ad
These preemptive PR campaigns are almost as nauseating as the quotes, interviews and coverage of these scumware criminals. Their intimidation of scumware-removal software vendors reveals their true intentions and methods.

The scumware types want to point to boiler-plate EULAs and invariably claim that it's not them doing the stealth installations that are nearly impossible to clean up. If that's the case, then why don't they forward the profits to the people doing the distribution? Could it be that they are really orchestrating the whole sordid mess? I wonder....

As Edelman points out, who in their right mind would want any part of their 'product' or 'service?' It's like calling and asking for more ad pages inserted in a magazine or commercials added to a TV broadcast.

Any anti-scumware legislation will be DOA just like the CAN-SPAM debacle. Some large corporate IT shop needs to admit they were infected then sue the pants off these back-alley hucksters.
