Bug hunters, software firms in uneasy alliance

It could happen: You never know what's going to tip the scales for people. Just because a post doesn't get responses doesn't mean people don't get it, don't appreciate it, or don't learn something from it.

But I'm a realist, so yeah...I have no delusions about making a big difference in a place like this. I don't think most people read these posts looking to be instructed by them. Maybe a few...I dunno -- maybe a lot more than a few, but because of the bile and bullsh!t that gets bandied about on these boards... well, you know. Somebody said a while ago that the principal purpose of this forum is entertainment.
