I am amazed at the finger pointing
I will never understand why a software/hardware company will market and sell a flawed product and then try to shot the messenger when reporting the "Flaw" in this case.

I support responsible reporting, but the researcher does not owe this privledge to the company with the flawed product. In this case, the company is passing the focus of the flaw to the way it was reported taking focus away from why the researcher was involved in the first place.

Companies don't take the time to check thier products and worse yet, they send beta products for "Testing", in most cases, to uneducated or those that lack technical knowledge to perform the testing.

When any of these companies release buggy software then they get what they deserve and if that final cost is the loss of customer base and ultimately revenue then they have noone but themselves to blame.

The only reason these companies even patch or make availible patches is because of pressure from the flaw being disclosed to the public. It is damage control pure and simple.

These mega-corporations should get off there respective backsides and do what is required from the start. Stop Marketing and selling flawed software/hardware. Take the extra time and release the software with as few bugs as possible. Yes we may delay the public release by a couple months, but the damage control costs are far more expensive then the delay to market costs. Especially when these costs are spread through out the product life cycle.

Shame on these companies for marketing and selling these products and worst yet, shame on us for continuing to support these companies with our hard earned dollars.
