have you actually read the Constitution lately? If anything, this is a 4th Amendment issue, not 1st. Even so, the First Amendment only protects *political* and - to some extent - religious free speech.

but the reality is that while the 4th Amendment protects your home (ie, personally-owned) PC, that computer your boss paid for belongs to the COMPANY, and the cold hard truth is the company can do what they want with it, including enforcing policies that you (and I) don't particularly like.

Fact is your boss can walk in any time and demand to see what's on HIS computer. The ones who get in trouble at work are the ones who forget this very basic tenant of the workplace.
