Zealot's revisionism
Repeating yourself won't make what you are saying true.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Internet_Explorer
"Microsoft asserted in court that IE was integrated with Windows 98, and that Windows 98 could not be made to operate without it. Australian computer scientist Shane Brooks later demonstrated that Windows 98 could in fact run with IE files removed [3]. Brooks went on to develop software designed to customize Windows by removing "undesired components", which now known as LitePC. Microsoft has claimed that the software did not remove all components of Internet Explorer, leaving many dynamic link library files behind"

So here we have Microsoft claiming that it is IMPOSSIBLE to completely remove IE, and we have YOU, saying that IE is not integrated into the OS and Firefox on Linux is the same thing yada yada yada. Get your story straight, can't you? You're contradicting Microsoft themselves on this.

This HTML rendering functionality that you are so intent on denying is a part of the Windows OS is the IE code which Microsoft deliberately mixed into the OS in order to be able to claim that IE cannot be removed. Please explain why IE cannot be removed from the OS? If you succeed in doing so you will have effectively undone Microsoft's "win" in the courtroom, since their every argument (as, for example, quoted above) is a matter of record and all of it refutes totally your repeated assertion that IE is not a part of the OS. Can I use Firefox to install WIndows Updates? No? Why ever not? A browser is a browser, isn't it? The botton line is Microsoft's decision to weld IE functioanlity into the OS at a low level won them the battle against Netscape and lost them the war against viruses and worms.

Firefox, a stand alone browser running on a non-proprietary OS, is NOT the same as a proprietary browser embedded at the code level into a proprietary OS from the same company. Now take your medication, and perhaps that MS PR will send you a nice new FUD sheet to work from.
