Poor jelly
Microsoft sell Windows and IE. Windows and IE used to be separate, then Microsoft mixed them together, so they could argue that every copy of Windows had to have the browser IE, or it wouldn't work.

When MS talks about the Windows product, they are talking about the OS + the included window manager. Sorry but the rendering engine is not a part of the Windows OS (just like Linux), it is a library included with the window manager (just like KDE) that has been reused in the browser (just like Konqueror), in the explorer (just like KDE) and the help system (just like KDE). Firefox runs happily on Windows without using a single call into the included rendering engine (just like Linux), and if you want to browse your files without using the rendering engine, use "dir" on the command line (just like using "ls" in Linux). Once again, you have failed to show a single technical difference between what MS did and what KDE did (keyword: technical). You can spout on and on about convicted monopolies but technically, MS did exactly what KDE did: include a reusable rendering engine, separate from the OS, but integrated into the Windows product (OS + window manager).
