- but New Orleans got what it was asking for. Coastal destruction of mangroves and erosion. 80 year old levees that were too short. Intelligence was NOT a prereq for being in City government I guess. I say leave the new Lake Orleans alone - there's PLENTY of space for survivors to live in Detroit.
