Too True...
Couldn't say it better myself. When the 'Executable' permission is set to true by default and everything autoexecutes you'll end up with a virus. So instead of forcing Windows to set execution permision on executables to false by default and force a dialog to prompt if you would like to make it executable, Microsoft decides to ignore the virus issue and go on to implement flawed TPM.

TPM is a useless technology that can be abused by almost anyone and circumvented easily by somebody with the will. Its just a way of getting folks to make deals with Microsoft because of some technology that sounds amazing when its actually doesn't do anything (like WGA). Its common sense that if you've got the keys on a chip there's nothing that'll stop you from readin'em off for the purpose of swaping disk contents. There are simple means for protecting data and that would be through a tiny slot for flash-memory containing keys for the device. That way keys and hardware is seperate and the rest is self explanitory. Using BIOS password checksum as the key is also an option (but can be flashed).
