Diminishing Returns
-When suddenly 25% of you pay cheque is removed to -pay this record company and that record company you -have no money to spend.

Then all those folks won't have any money to spend on recordings! Looks like the RIAA would be shooting themselves and the recording industry in the collective foots.

Why don't these guys just admit it! Their loss of profits is more related to the economy than anything else. When Americans don't work, they tend to cut back on non-essentials first, ie., music. When an American loses a job to an off-shore worker, the American stops buying CD's and the off-shore worker can't buy expensive originals, so, they buy pirated copies. Maybe if the recording industry stopped making originals in Asia and made some here they would be re-creating their market. Seems like 'ol Henry Ford did something like that when he started paying 5 bucks a day wages!
