In a perfect world
Blah, Blah, Blah
So tell me oh wise one, which OS should I use to run all of the software that has only been written to run under MS Windows?
What is is the name of the killer Fianancial Software that will link up with my banks and credit card companies and let me manage my finances on Linux?
What, Oh knower of all things, is the name of the software game company who has released a top ten game, from this year, that runs on an OS other than Windows?
Tell the, oh answerer of all questions, how to run all of the commercial software that I need to run my business and my life, which does not exist for Linux.

Tell me how I can get all of the hardware I want to run, which does not have Linux drivers or support software to run under that operating system.

In a perfect world I'd only run Linux. Unfortunately the software I want and need to run does not run under that operating system. Since I have neither the time, nor inclination to rewrite all the software myself, I have to make the decision to either run MS Windows taking the best precaustions I can or not being able to use software that I need and want.

So if you want ot solve the problem, go out there and start porting some of these programs and drivers over. Go convince the big software companies that there is enough of a market for them to make money porting their programs over to Linux. Convince industry to buy Linux instead of Windows by delivering to them the software that they need, along with the turnkey solutions they want.

Or continue to sit in your parents basement tinkering with the latest beta of Fedora.
