I read Intel's Privacy policy and it was fine, then I read Orbitz here:
http://cheeptickets.com/pagedef/content/legal/privacy05.jsp?popupsDisabled=false
Small print, legal definitions, "We may change or supplement this Privacy Policy from time to time.".
Verizon Wireless:
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/footer/privacy.jsp
"Notice of changes
Verizon Wireless will provide 30 days notice on our web site of any material changes to the privacy statement and in the use of personally identifiable information."
So basically they can do anything they want with the data just as long as they give 30 days notice, as the above poster points out.
I don't see how these can be best practice and I don't see why Orbitz and Verizon Wireless are included in their 'best practise' list. - Posted by: Nigel Johnstone Posted on: 08/23/05 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
