The Principle remains
When an automobile or aircraft manufacturer builds and sells a product, that manufacturer is responsible for the performance and under our "lemon laws" is required to FIX the defects in the product.

Automobile and aircraft manufacturers are hit with huge punitive damages when their products fail and cause harm.

There is no valid reason for a software manufacturer to be allowed to avoid responsibility.
