Another peek in Microsoft's Linux lab
Technician 1 : I hear the guys in the IE lab are busy - another unpatched flaw has come to light.

Technician 2 : Yeah, it's just as well that all the other unpatched flaws in IE don't get daily attention - heck, users might cotton on to the fact that they're vulnerable every single day that even a single unpatched flaw exists.

Technician 1 : Don't forget there are undoubtedly unpatched flaws that aren't logged too - thank heavens for the EULA. Our users haven't got a prayer, they agreed to absolve us of any responsibility when they installed Windows. Slick or what? We can have as many unpatched flaws as we like. They can go swivel.

Technician 2 : Yeah. Gee, it's quiet in here, isn't it? I can't remember the last time we had a new Linux virus.

Technician 1 : Well you won't, there are only 32 known Linux viruses, have been for years. Lucky IE lab! That baby sure is the wormhole into Windows. Those guys get overtime AND weekend working.

Technician 2 : We'd be in with a chance if Firefox ever got integrated into Linux OS code.

Technician 1 : You mean like we did with IE and Windows?

Technician 2: Yeah. Once we made IE an integral part of the Windows OS, all IE's problems became OS problems. It's a real shame that applications only sit on the Linux platform, instead of being integrated with it. We'd be a lot busier then, I can tell you.

(Phone rings, speaks briefly. Hangs up)

Technician 1 : They need a hand in the IE lab. We can leave this lot, it'll be running just as sweet tommorrow.

Technician 2 : Yeah, you're right. I'll lock up.

(exit)
