RE: Indian call center under suspicion of ID breach
Well, even though the United States hasn't done and investigation (formal one that is) you can bet your bottom dollar our data is for sale too. Who can we blame?

1. Our government for making out sourcing to overseas contractors that ARE NOT bound by our laws, a nice tax break, i.e. lucrative for the CEO.

2. Corporate greed for sending these jobs overseas to save a buck.

3. Ourselves for not standing up and letting our government (see #1) screw us over and also for not letting the corps know we are not happy with the new service.

So can we fix it? Yeah but the majority of sheep in this country are either to involved with their own personal debt to care or too stupid to care or not aware there is a problem in the first place.

So get out and call your representitive and congressman, tell them just how pissed you are and that if they want to be elected (yeah, like that process really works anymore!) then they will get this corrected.

Go to your local new and pester them until they start to run an investigation of their own AND they broadcast it.

Word of mouth to your friends. E-Mail is no longer a reliable means to spread the word. Thanks to the spammers and @ssholes (read: corporations) out there, they have taken a once great medium for communications and information gathering and polluted it that people are starting to lose interest in it.

Bottom line, you need to be proactive... I am. And I think my congressman and senators are getting tired of hearing from me. If not I will continue to hound them until a change for the better is made.
