- It's a call center ...
-
... which means that you don't know who they are contracting for. Probably several companies at once. If the customer support help center is for a hospital or a bank, why wouldn't customers give up that information?
For example, if I call my credit card company to report a problem, the first thing that they ask is for my account number (sometimes I have to punch it in using the phone's keypad). After that, who knows where the call is routed?
Have you ever made an insurance claim? Filed for a health care benefit? Called your investment firm or bank? How do you know who those companies have contracted with, and where your call is being routed?
That's the danger of it all. - Posted by: coffeenite Posted on: 08/16/05 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
