gates definately didn't build/design the PC, although he might have agreed with IBM's stand that there was no need for more than 640K when he made that statement. Besides he couldn't contradict a "partner" that would help him become what he is today.

If gates were to say today that "4GB should be enough for anybody.", would that stop the industry from going into 64bit and further technology?
