Yes ... that is, unless the spyware talks on port 80, at which point a firewall is pretty much useless.

And how many do you think utilize port 80? I mean, this is the way that the e-messenger and file sharing apps get by corporate firewalls.

It would be shorter to list the ones that don't use port 80.
