If enough companies force this then it will happen. Look at the
market for Microsoft. As many people complain about them you'd
think comsumers would buy something else. Of course the market
share quotes are for hardware w/ WIN installed, even if the owner
puts something else on it or the OEM ships it blank. The problem is
that companies think they need newer machines and will buy ones
w/ TPM in them. Most workers don't need that much power,
although some do. If this gets too many folks spooked then maybe
there will be a large aftermarket for older systems.
