...is that it won't take massive amounts of money for sleaze like this to get back in business. A computer and a cable connection is all it takes to start. Get a script kiddy to fire out a few relay trojans if you're chewing up too much bandwidth.

And I wouldn't tout this as big, generous M$. They paid themselves with the funds before they gave anything away. Note that their legal team was paid from the proceeds. 1 or 2 million of the 7 if I read that right.

And excuse me if I'm having a dense moment, but what damage did this idiot do to M$ with his spam? Seems to me the actual victims here are global email users ... not M$. If anything, I'm willing to bet that it was M$ software that helped him perpetuate the spamming and be capable of sending that quantity of email in the first place!
