- Then things are WORSE:

(1) If they indeed used the defects outlined here, to compromise the 50 Banks machines and MS already KNEW these problems, MS is squarely at fault for NOT informing the victims and helping them PREVENT this. And this is my initial statement.
(2) If the creeps used OTHER defects, these means that those are STILL OPEN and KNOWN and actively exploited by these creeps. So in that case things are WORSE.

I agree that security is ONE of the many. But in the context of the article it is the FOCUS.
