These flaws were not exploited
Why were they not exploited? Probably because none of the lowlifes knew they existed. Now they are fixed, BEFORE any exploits were developed. Wanna bet that these very flaws will be attacked within one week on unprotected and unpatched computers?

If I were MS, or any other software company for that matter, I wouldn't have released the info either, until I patched the software. Once the vulnerability becomes common knowledge it is attacked by the losers who write exploit code. You know that, yet you ask such a silly question.

You ask why I defended the company. The answer is simple, I didn't defend the company. I merely pointed out the complete lack of reason in your post. After all, you chastised them for FIXING bugs. The fact that you don't get this is mind boggling to me.

Now, however, I will defend MS. You claim their software is inferior and bottom quality. I say baloney!!!! I use their software daily. It works. Their applications provide a wealth of features and yet are usuable by both newbies and power users.

Contrary to your belief, security is not the ONLY important factor in software. It is simply ONE important factor. Others which come to mind are features, usability, interoperability, and functionality. I have tried other applications, but when I weigh and compare ALL of the important factors, MS software wins in my book. Everyone is free, however, to make the same determinations in their specific circumstances and choose the options that best suit them. No one deserves to be berated for making their own choices.

If security were my only concern, I would simply unplug the stupid thing.

And one last thing, no I don't need a psychiatrist. You, on the other hand, seem to have deep insecurities (hence the need for the most secure software), and those are clearly psychological issues.
