Your post seems a bit off topic, it has nothing to do with Linux vs MS
First of all, using a Linux box to read your E-Mail is not going to prevent you from receiving SPAM. I use a Linux box for an E-Mail server and I sometimes read E-Mail from a Linux laptop, SPAM is still there. Receiving SPAM and SPF has NOTHING to do with the client machine. Filtering SPAM at the client seems like a MS approach which is not what I would expect from a Linux fan such as yourself.

While I do use multiple E-Mail aliases (primarily to find out who is distributing my E-Mail address) it is not a practical solution for most people even though most ISP's allow you to have more than one address. Even if the end user was aware that they could do that (and most are not) they would not understand why they should expend the energy.

Geeks have more than one personal computer to play with and the common man does not so your suggestion would not work for them even if it had merit, which it does not.

I did not blame the Analysts, I stated the Analysts were clueless.
