The LAST THING WE NEED is for Microsoft to call the tune in this matter. It needs to be a clearly-defined mechanism that's nice and simple.

What worries me is that spammers will set up their domains with a wildcard (like 0.0.0.0) and it'll be toothless....until the code is changed.

At first, it needs to be used on things like Spamassassin to add credibility to the messages (rightly or wrongly) and as time goes on, things will work out.

It's not hard. And it'll be terribly effective.
