Wow. Misguided soul.
First off, let?s be clear about something here. If we go for authenticated access to IP networks it will not be the hackers or Microsoft that brings this in. It will for the largest part be us. First and foremost because we fear the threat more then we enjoy the freedom, and secondly because to much of the general public doesn?t understand enough about internet security and follow reasonable precautions in protecting their machine.
Secondly, if we do start to require authenticated access to IP networks we had better wait until this becomes a fool proof solution for stopping hackers/viruses/phishing etc. and not simply one more hurdle for the trouble makers to cross, because they will indeed cross it, and in fairly short order as well.
Thirdly, I?m going to assume that that you didn?t dictate your posting to someone else to write and that you can in fact read and write yourself here; take a few moments and browse through zdnets past articles and you will find as other OS and web browsers have become more popular they have also finally, after all this time come under some scrutiny and security flaws have been found in most of them. But I?m sure that you will find that irrelevant as your true goal here seems to be in pursuing a war against Microsoft.
Your ignorance is bliss if you truly believe what you are saying and I?m certainly not going to waste my time or energy trying to educate the likes of you about why things are done the way they are at Microsoft as well as other software vendors. I just love your ?BREAKTHROUGH? solution of authenticated access to IP networks. A real brainstorm that would solve nothing.
