Yeah, But ... This is Not the Assertion in the Post
If your XP box is querying a DNS server, it's going to send the request to ones it is configured to know. What kind of packet sniffing would have to be in place for a foreign server to respond first? Not saying it isn't possible, but it seems like a fairly resource intensive criminal enterprise.

And this is NOT what the original post asserts; instead it suggests (amazingly) that each XP box promiscuously goes to "whatever" server is out there for DNS queries, which is on the face of it ... laughable.
