We will probably all crash tonight, as in slang go to sleep tonight. And reboot, as in wake up in the morning, and the Internet will still work as it always has.

Some news media may cover the vulnerability briefly ... probably less coverage than the Space Shuttle gets. Probably just technical media on cable tv.

Some smaller domains (as in Web Sites) may get exploited ... nothing hitting the 6pm or 11pm news. Responsible domain technical persons for the larger more well known web sites already have this vulnerability covered. Smaller ones may take a little longer. Especially if they don't get technical news bulletins (like ZDNet).

Call or email your ISP and your Bank (anywhere you transact business online) and tell them about it. Talk to someone important. Tell them to write it down and give it to management. Management needs to make sure that Technical Staff gets it, they will be the ones to upgrade Bind if it needs upgrading.

Again people this has nothing to do with Linux or Windows. Stop making it a holy war about operating systems.
