I have been recommendin Linux servers to my clients for several months. I use Fedora Core Linux, for servers, and IP Cop for routers. My clients love the fact that they don't have to pay for licences on every machine, and that samba works so well with windows. I install AV on all machines, whether I think they need it or not. It's just common sense to be safe rather than sorry.
