Symantec slams the door on LiveUpdate flaw

Symantec: Peter Norton has a few more items to contend with concerning his software products. I have used Norton Utilities back when I was using DOS 3.0 on my 8088 system.
I have been trying now for 5 days to install SystemWorks 2004 and can't get anything but an error message back. I have been on the web looking for help and not much has helped. I can't seem to get task manager to stop the symlcsvc.exe service. I think this may be stopping the install.
Bill Gates has had big problems too.
It is very irritating when security problems like this pop up. There seems to be a hackers war out there. The IT people are not helping by returning erroneous mail messages back to false senders.
But it looks like this is the wave of the future.
