Just food for thought for a second
Now I have read the story, and read this line of posts. I have to say this, Lynn acted only on Lynn's behalf. There are many people out there who are gifted when it comes to finding holes in the system, but why give them that much more. More off, if you read the story, Lynn demonstrated it!
"Hey not only can you break into major business' and banks to wire everyones money and Credit card statements, but let me show you how?"

That is called being irresponsible. Debate all you want, but news flash there are orginizations out there that would profit greatly from getting information on how to beat a system like Cisco's. You name any top 100 Company or Financial Institution and no doubt they are using Cisco. Who do you think has the US Goverment contracts? I know of at least one group that would love nothing better than to shut down the Military and other goverment access.

And anyone that thinks hackers are just a bunch of pimple popping College brats, they need to get a reality check. Only the one's that get caught are. How many college kiddos do you think actually heard and saw Lynn's lecture? Last time I saw a college kid at those kind of lectures were the one's that were Intern at were likely found in the bathroom during most of the presentation.

The fact is bugs will be found, and when we take the responsibility to deal with maing the technology better, we do so by fixing the problem.

You never fix a crack in the dam by exposing it!
