Right ...

Have you seen all the patches and flaws being thrown around by open-source lately? Especially the ones that break their own DBs? It's JUST as buggy and ridden with holes as anything coded. I hope you don't believe what you are shoveling.

OR

Have you seen the loss of millions of data records from schools or credit card associations? I'm sure that all those MUST HAVE BEEN on MS. I'm living in a dream world circumvents news like this.

It's NOT MS ... It's NOT CISCO ... It's NOT UNIX, LINUX or Mac ... it's the nature of code. What can be compiled can be decompiled and a method of entry has always been found and will probably always be there. This is mainly due the the idea that so many pieces must work together. Ultimately, you will have holes. MS is the biggest player out there ... who would you go after? Oh wait ... they did get the millions of records from schools and companies to use for profit. Where the money is ... low-lifes will follow and it won't matter what system is in place short of some form of incredible AI (and that then presents a whole new set of problems).
