Open Source Presumption
You presume that a company with more money than God can't hire better programmers than are sitting around in thier Amiga tee-shirts, unemployed.

Hmmm. Maybe Cisco (and others) should hire a bunch of out-of-work programmers to telelcommute from wherever they are to just check their code for possible exploits. Money well spent, and might jump-start the IT economy again.
