Do you think hackers have no abilities of their own to open code? Do you think they just sit around waiting for someone to drop unprotected code in their laps? Do you think that reverse-assemblers have never been developed just because it's really really hard to find one on the internet now? (keep in mind that ALL code bakes down into machine language at some point and that assembler is one level away from machine code).

It seems to me that people who are not formally trained in computers (sure, college if you must say the word) don't really get the drift of what and who is out here to 'attack' systems. Kind of like the prez when discussing anything - you know - not the brightest bulb in the package - maybe not even lighting up when stuck in the socket.

Most hacking is recreational - it's an exercise in thinking. Long since the days of erasing hard drives with a set of instructions laced into the OS's stack area, we now have a planet almost linked together that looks like SO MUCH FUN to break into -= and hey, if a profit can be made... I mean, jeez... What a challenge, huh?

Then we have a company like Cisco pulling the proprietary card out of their sleeve and trying to close barn doors WAY after the ponies have run free. What a bunch of clones. Who are they partnered with, MicroSoft?

Yeah - castrate that scumbag Lynn and THEN fry him in (politically correct) canola oil. Except... HE'S NOT THE PROBLEM...

Oh... and what wholes do we need security people to find? I think they can only find halves and quarters, but that would be belaboring a point, huh?

Curious...
