Even with WiMax you can share with each other locally in the P2P mode. But you will need a carrier to go across a country or beyond borders and that is where they will get you. Looking at web pages, you will not be able to tell if it is down the street or 3000 miles away. Without those long distance carriers, WiMax will have super long latency. Besides those machines are going to have DRM in them. Face it, the Wild Wild West days are over. Big industry will countrol those devices as well.
