banning harware and software?
a lot of the software and hardware that falls under the extreamly vague definition given in this article is also very usefl for catching the popele who do this

example

a packet sniffer is ued to intercept information (potentially illegally) the one of the best tools for spotting a packet sniffer on your network is another packet sniffer however soaltouhgh it'd outlaw the tool it'd also outlaw the best solution (also th etool) the criminals wont care aoubt the law so only those woh do will sotp using it so such tools become harder for non-law enforcement to spot and in turn more crimes go unnoticed for longer

not a good scenario really i wish someone would pas sa law forcing politicians to have technical laws drafted by thechs not idiots with suits woh won popularity contests (yes i know democracy is the best availabe system to pick a governemnt and i peronsally dont wnat any other system wher i live but i dont wnat the idiots who get inot power writing laws about things they dont understnad either
