Vily: it is reality

The reality is that the U.S. has been attacked, and will be attacked again - because no steps are being taken to prevent it. The reality is that there is a group of people who want to destroy the U.S. These people are not stupid, and they understand that the only way to destroy the U.S. is from within - turn the people against themselves and against their own government. And it's working. Look at how many Americans believe that their own government is the greatest threat to world peace, even though it's some radical Muslims that have declared that the U.S. is 'evil' and must be destroyed. The U.S. has never declared that Islam is 'evil' and must be destroyed, and yet the U.S. is the 'bad guy'. The U.S. doesn't send suicide bombers to kill children, but the U.S. is the greatest threat. That's the reality of the world.

The reality is that a large part of the world hates the U.S., Europe included. We could sit here all day discussing reasons for this, but the end result would be the same. The recent bombings in the U.K. have the same goal as the bombing in Spain - put pressure on the U.K. to pull out of Iraq, and by doing so pull support from the U.S. The terrorists saw that the tactic would work by its success in Spain, and now it's trying it on a more staunch U.S. supporter. If the U.K can be pressured into withdrawing support, then other countries will fall into place. Popular opinion in Europe is strongly against the U.S., and it won't take much for that opinion to be turned into pressure on the European governments. If the terrorists can make Europe fall into place, that pretty much isolates the U.S. Between isolation and self-destruction, the U.S. is pretty much out of the world picture. And that leaves terrorism as the major world power.

That's reality.
