I think that they're slow to fixing it for a reason.
Right now we take it for granted that a company will fix the
flaws in the software as a free service. But now it looks as if
companies like Microsoft are going to start charging people to
fix the software. They're starting with "low" and "moderate"
fixes, with "critical" still being free.

But how soon will you have to pay a monthly service fee to keep
your software secure? Already Anti-Virus companies are moving
to a fee based service versus just buying the software.

This just pisses me off. Pretty soon it will cost your average
Windows PC user $200/month just to use the damn thing
because you'll have to not only pay for security hole fixes, but
antivirus and spyware as well. And, of course, you have to be
connected to the internet to get those services.

Come to think of it, perhaps this is another great opportunity for
Apple to gain some marketshare with a "free" computer.
