I think that the music companies have issues about this...
I've been thinking for a while that record companies should include a copy of all a music CD's tracks in high quality MP3 format for a while, then I realized that it would significantly shorten the length of the CD. Beside that point, it would be a big convenience not to have to rip the tracks, and instead just to be able to copy the files directly to your hard drive. I've actually seen some users who literally don't have the processing power to rip tracks from CD.

What really annoys me about it is that they're essentially forcing you to use WMA's which in my and many other peoples opinion is the worst sounding format available, and it's very very restrictive when it comes to playback with all its DRM.
