I believe you missed an important point of the article. It's not that they can't write a virus to infect a Mac; they are writing viruses to make money. There are not enough Mac's out there to make it worth their time. Also, note they are using AIM to spread their trash. You need to find users who are careless about PC security. That is America Online customers. Children are the prime targets and AIM is their favorite online toy and AOL subscribers are not even near PC savvy, or they wouldn?t be using such an overpriced online service that is a total anchor on your computers performance. Look at AOL?s marketing strategy ? free anti-virus, anti-spyware, PC tune-ups etc. etc. etc?.

Anyone who knows how to use and protect their PC?s does not need any online service to hold their hands. Frankly, these viruses will not make it into a computer savvy operator?s computer. So why even try?
