Everybodys responsibility

Everybody has a responsibilty to fight against zombies and other
online threats. The OS and software makers need to make their
code more secure. Microsoft is desparetely playing catchup on
security issues because they ignored the threat for so long. ISP's
have traditionally used a hands off approach to security. It's now
becoming inevitable that they actively participate in internet
security. If they have the means to help control the problem,
then use them. Even if that means suspending some user
accounts until their systems are cleaned up. The end users need
to start listening to all the warnings out there and making their
systems more secure. But...there are those users that will choose
to remain totally ignorant and oblivious to any warnings. As in
smoking, there is overwhelming proof that smoking will kill you,
yet people still choose to smoke. Same with AIDS. Some people
refuse to take the neccesary precautions. For those who choose
to remain ignorant, I have no sympathy. If they need to be cut
off in order to help protect all users, so be it.
