Yes, and I can still roll an Explorer !
Ford and Firestone have implemented their changes and an incompetent driver can still role one (before you get your knickers in a twist, yes, there are other reasons an Explorer may roll over). However, here we are talking about the users of a tool (Windows, gun, SUV) and unless the tool ceases to exist, there will continue to be users that can, and probably will use them incorrectly for whatever reason.

I do not advocate the removal of any of these items from the market. I simply tried in my original post to state that two things need to happen. Users need to be educated (it seems to have worked for you) and criminals (in this case the authors/distributors of the Xombe Trojan) need to be caught and punished.

It never ceases to amaze me that individual and social responsibility seem to take a back seat to knee-jerk reactionary calls to arms and diatribes on personal agendas against individuals, corporations, or products in response to the articles posted on this site.

Of course should anyone bother to read this, I am certain I will hear about the individual and social responsibility that is lacking in the corporation(s) mentioned in the posts. I don't have a problem with that as long as you follow the sage advice of making sure your side of the street is clean before commenting on your neighbors. Even then, an offer of help seems more appropriate than a tongue lashing.
