What is interesting here is that if there is a flaw in a COMPONENT of IPSEc snf the component is fixed (like the Krbv5) then the stack is secured until the next flaw is discovered.

In ms windows due to the ill-defined interdependencies among kernel and app level components, one problem may surface somewhere else, and it is MOST often the case, 'fixing' the problem at a particular point, make create new problems/break other parts.

Now, claiming that IPSec is 'perfect' and NO problem any more is a little naive. Nevertheless, the current imperfect IPSec security beats the shocks off any ms windwoes 'secure' system.

Everything is imperfect SO we need to chose the imperfect one that minimized the loss/cost and maximises utility. Wrong?
