I'm not convinced that you really know WHAT he understands. If you are judging him by his actions (as you should), the only thing that is clear is that you seem to disagree with his actions.

I happen to agree with most of what he does, as does more than half of the country. People have been whining about "loss of rights" over such things as the Patriot Act, yet no credible evidence of anyone (legal citizens) losing ANY real rights. I'm not talking about what someone perceieves as a right, but actual constitutional rights.

I can understand fear, and how it affects some people, but it seems that too many times they LEAP to unfounded conclusions before there is a real need.

This is a horrible trend in this country. A good example is the story about Carl Rove's alleged actions of revealing an agents name. While there are only accusations, the investigation isn't complete, and there is some evidence that a) he did not knowingly reveal anything, and b) if the facts are as we know them now, he did not break the law, according to the CIA spokesman.

I'm not defending Carl or OJ or MJ, but my point is that too often people are blinded to the truth because of their preconceived hatred of the accused, and convict them before the evidence even comes out. (maybe not in your case) happy
