"If anything this guy should be commended for bringing a serious problem to light."

If I leave my front door unlocked and a burglar enters and steals something, the burglar is still responsible, even if I share come of the responsibility. My error in no way excuses the burglar; no one "forced" the burglar to enter my house, and no one "forced" this guy to enter the defense sites.

Criticize the sites for poor security, but don't excuse the trespasser.
