find out if there are extraterrestrials? As for the US military computers being wide open... gee no surprise there! First they run Windows second they are administered by people that really could care less.

One thing I do remember about my time in the Navy is the computer admins were always 3-7 years behind everyone else. Software and OS's are also lagging. Then there is no standardized system set-up it's a hodge podge of Windows PC's thrown together to hopefully work.

At least the combat systems on US warships use Unix! Good grief imagine the havoc if they didn't. Anyhow this guy is right about the PC setups and configuration within our military / government. I used to gain access to systems that I was not supposed to by accident. All because of very poor security implemention (try a sore lack thereof!) and Win98 being used to store sensitive data!!

If anything this guy should be commended for bringing a serious problem to light.
