Cheerleading
Some of us in business make our own choices in the the
technologies we use. We don't have the decision made for us.
Most of us who work this way wouldn't have it any other way.
You may feel you don't have to mention the options available,
but some of us have to pick a side. We do it with our own
dollars, and multiple platforms is often not an option. Is
investing in a productivity platform cheerleading? I don't think
so. If it is, then I'm clearly a cheerleader.

The attempt to disconnect security argument from the OS is
naive. Steve Jobs has said that no one can be cavalier about
security. I'd agree. There are however, clear advantages to
hardware/OS integration and verticle quality control. There are
clear advantages to vendor accountability. These advantages are
being born out over time.

If I could exist in the rare air that allowed me to comment on
security in the abstract, I might see your point. But, I have to use
this stuff. I have to pick one, and the work is paramount.

So pick one, pick two if you like. Know that you act as an
advocate for your choice, it comes with the territory. All of these
things are understood if it's YOU making the choice. If it's not,
then I'm talking to the wrong person.
